An undisciplined piano student as a child, Kris is now an undisciplined piano player and songwriter as an adult. He wrote original songs for his film, Songs She Wrote About People She Knows, including ‘Asshole Dave’, a Canadian Screen Award nominee for Best Original Song. His first album, ‘Songs of the Sad Sack, Vol. 1: I’m so disappointed’ provided the basis for several iterations of a live show known variously as Songs of the Sad Sack, Kris Elgstrand’s Social Anxiety Hour and Positive Life-Affirming Entertainment.
