Currently playing on Canadian television, Songs She Wrote About People She Knows is a comedy about Carol, a repressed woman who writes and sings songs about her friends and enemies, and her overbearing boss, Dave, who is inspired to quit his job and pursue his long-forgotten dream of a music career after hearing Carol’s song, Asshole Dave. Shot in Vancouver, BC and its environs in the spring of 2014, the film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. It went on to play numerous festivals and won the New Directors Prize at the Nashville Film Festival and the Best Narrative Award at IndieFest San Francisco. Produced by Amy Belling, Thea Grivakes and Kris Elgstrand, Songs She Wrote stars Arabella Bushnell, Brad Dryborough and Ross Smith.
